From this gorgeous, large handcrafted log home with over 100 feet of river frontage on the Deschutes River, take in all that central Oregon has to offer. This is the ideal vacation destination for leisure, relaxation, or outdoor enjoyment, located 10 minutes southwest of Sunriver, 30 minutes from Bend, and 30 minutes from Mt. Bachelor. You can explore the beauty of the area by bike, kayak, paddle board, on foot, or by car from a beautiful 1.5-acre location at the end of a quiet paved road, abutting National Forest on one side and the river on the other.
The great room has reclaimed wood flooring and a lodge-style, floor-to-ceiling stone and steel 2-sided gas fireplace, which is ideal for chilly nights indoors. The spacious lawn and Deschutes River are seen through two-story windows. The dining room table can accommodate up to ten people, and there is also seating for four people at the breakfast bar. Granite counters, double wall ovens, dishwasher, electric cook top, waffle iron, coffee maker, espresso machine, crockpot, blender, and other amenities are included in the well-equipped kitchen. The rear deck and campfire area are both excellent places to spend a drink or dine in the evening. In any season, a 6-person spa is a terrific place to unwind. Take a bottle, leave a bottle of your favorite wine in our wine refrigerator and wine honor bar. A convertible high chair/booster seat and a Pack-N-Play are available for infants.
Two of the first-floor bedrooms (including the master) include queen beds with Kingsdown mattresses. The master bath (which does not have a shower) has a relaxing two-person Jacuzzi tub. The first floor has an additional hall bath with a shower and tub. A hall bath with tub, shower and double sinks is shared by two second-floor bedrooms. One of the second-floor bedrooms has a queen bed, while the other has two queen beds that are arranged in a bunk bed configuration.
A loft space on the second floor has games, cards, and puzzles, as well as a TV with Netflix and a DVD player (please note, there is no cable TV, but guests are able to use our Netflix account, as well as access their own HBO, Amazon Prime Video, Sling TV or other streaming services.) The residence does have high-speed internet access.
Guests can use three kayaks (2 single and 1 tandem), two stand-up paddleboards, and four (adult) bikes. (Due to weather and river levels, kayaks and paddleboards are only available from spring to autumn.) You can launch your kayak or paddleboard right from our yard and be picked up later downriver! In the (unheated) garage, there’s a ping pong table.
There is no air conditioning in this house, however each bedroom has a fan. Even on the warmest summer days, the weather on the river generally cools off wonderfully at night.
In each bathroom, Aveeno toiletries are provided for visitors’ use.
