Stunning Off-The-Grid Tiny House With Solar System

This off-grid small house movie is sure to inspire you with a variety of ideas and features that you’ll enjoy. Glade, Cloe, and their two young children live in a beautiful off-the-grid little house, which is featured in this film. The beautiful small home is fully off the grid and stands on a lovely 12-acre property just outside of Melbourne, Australia, generating all of its power from a massive solar system on the home’s roof. You’ll be amazed to see such a massive solar array on a tiny house on wheels. Surprisingly, this tiny house on wheels features 4kw of solar panels on the roof, as well as 36kw of lead-acid battery storage.

This tiny house generates enough electricity to run not only all of the necessary contemporary appliances, such as air conditioning, but also a tiny house construction workshop on the land.

Glade and Cloe built the tiny house almost entirely from of construction components discovered in the garbage. The tiny home was built for an astonishing budget of only AU$10,000, not including the solar system, because the vast bulk of the construction materials were salvaged and reclaimed, and all of the labor was done by the couple. After being motivated to pursue a more basic life, where they could spend more time at home with their children and live closer to the land, homesteading and producing much of their organic food, this pioneering couple chose to build a tiny house on their 12-acre property.

The off-grid little house was made with lovely woods and intelligent design, making it perfect for family life. There are two lofts, a large kitchen where Cloe can not only cook but also preserve food and live out her homestead ideal, and plenty of room for the kids to play and the couple to entertain. With Glade’s stonemasonry background, the couple intends to build a small stone home on the property in the future. They opted to build the tiny house as a stepping stone, allowing them to move onto their land and have a place to live while their home on foundations is being built.

Glade wanted to share his experience of creating his own tiny house with others, so he founded his own tiny house construction firm, where he builds tiny houses for people from a workshop on his land. Glade now has the fantastic opportunity to spend much more time with his family, watching his children grow up and sharing all of life’s tiny moments with them because he works from home.

  1. I love it! I have been looking for options for my camper to live completely off grid…I am finding out that no one wants to help with campers.
