At Rocky Top Farms in Ellsworth, Michigan, you’ll want to check out this small cottage construction. The full cabin building, with one bedroom and one bathroom, is offered to rent for two people. The area is a custom timber-frame cabin created by the owner and his father-in-law with the support of a large number of friends. The small cabin building is set on a pond surrounded by birch trees in the middle of a vast cherry orchard in the heart of picturesque northern Michigan. At this very special location, the love is in the details.

Climb a stairway to the snug sleeping loft inside the cabin construction and gaze out at the northern night skies. For comforting warmth, there’s a lovely front porch, locally made art, and an outstanding soapstone wood stove. A shared six-person hot tub is located outside. Outdoor hot tub for six persons that can be shared. With a fridge, sink, oven with stove top, griddle, and microwave, the little kitchen offers everything you need to prepare your meals. Pots, pans, mixing bowls, tools, dishes, cups, mugs, basic oils, and spices are all supplied in the wood cabin. A coffee machine with coffee is also available.

You may enjoy acres of orchard, prairie, and woodlands in this wonderful setting. Torch Lake’s northern edge is only a few miles away. Beaches on Lake Michigan are also only a short drive away. Ski resorts, breweries, vineyards, restaurants, and agricultural markets are all close by and make for fantastic day outings.

During the winter, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is required to access this property. This cabin construction can be rented in conjunction with Rocky Top Farms’ The Treehouse. Although The Treehouse is close to The Cabin, both cabin structures have been created to provide a sense of isolation. Between the cabin buildings is a grove of pine trees.
