Rustic Tiny Home Built With Recycled Materials

  • by

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a house or cabin that was built to high-quality standards, was also reasonably priced and was also environmentally friendly? With many of their tiny house designs, such as The Sherwood, an 18 by 20-foot small house that sold for $60,000, Molecule Tiny Homes demonstrates exactly how feasible it is.

This tiny home was built on a double-wide trailer by Molecule Tiny Homes because it is a bit larger than the conventional tiny house. Molecule Tiny Homes typically constructs its homes on single-wide trailers. This build’s use of primarily salvaged and repurposed materials, which gives it a wonderfully warm and cozy feel, is one of its most amazing features.

The Sherwood tiny house would make a wonderful guest cottage in a backyard or a great recreational lodge. Or, someone might appreciate permanently residing in a modest house like this. The house has a very pleasant and welcoming exterior that closely resembles the appearance of a log cabin in the woods.

For the exterior siding, they used some reclaimed wood, which looks really wonderful and rustic. The main entrance doors, which feature glass inserts to let light in, were also made from salvaged French doors.

Even some of the windows appear to be older and salvaged, which can significantly reduce the cost of any renovation. However, it’s a good idea to make sure that the windows you use in a project like this are double or triple-paned glass for optimum insulation if you really want your structure to be energy efficient.

The interior of the tiny house has high ceilings and a charming kitchen with reclaimed cabinets and countertops that has space for a small refrigerator or stove. Additionally, they incorporated an antique sink into the design, which looks amazing and adds a really special touch of old charm.

The builders also left all of the ceiling beams exposed, which really enhances the room and demonstrates their excellent craftsmanship. Another entrance to the house is through a side door that resembles the French doors. Additionally, this would promote air circulation, which is beneficial on a hot day.

A fantastic patio is also built straight onto the trailer and is located on the front of the house, making it simple for the owners to enjoy a patio as soon as they erect their tiny house on wheels. Since it is already constructed, they would save time and perhaps money by not having to create a deck or patio.
