Rustic Texas Country Log Cabin

  • by

This rustic cabin rental in Fredericksburg, Texas, is the best of the best. With two bedrooms, two beds, and two baths, the Weinland Haus can accommodate up to four visitors. Weinland Haus, German for Wine Country Home, is located on six secluded gated acres just five minutes from Fredericksburg’s Main Street and is considered one of Texas’ most charming homes.

The cottage was erected in 1863 in Tennessee, and it was meticulously reassembled and repaired in its current position. A spacious living area with a wood-burning fireplace, flat-screen television with DirecTV satellite cable, a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, an expansive dining table, and a powder bath are among the downstairs facilities.

Two bedrooms, one king-sized bed and one queen-sized bed, luxury bedding, and private baths with honed granite counters can be found upstairs. One bath has a beautiful onyx shower, while the other has a clawfoot tub suitable for soaking.

Enjoy spectacular sunset views from Weinland Haus’ front porch rocking rockers, or spend a chill evening on the flagstone patio near to the outdoor rock fireplace during your vacation stay. The cabin’s guests will love the ideal blend of a peaceful rural setting and the convenience of being just minutes from award-winning vineyards, shopping, and fantastic restaurants.

You should be aware that you are renting a cabin in the Hill Country, which means you may come across wildlife such as snakes, deer, and raccoons. The owners request that you be cautious of your surroundings and drive with caution at night. You may also come across the different bugs, spiders, scorpions, and mice that reside in the country and make their way inside on occasion. Having said that, all properties use pest control services on a regular basis, but this does not guarantee that no pests or bugs will be visible.

Fredericksburg, located about an hour and a half outside of both Austin and San Antonio, is a popular tourist destination in its own right. It boasts a surprising amount of things to see and do for such a little town. Fredericksburg has more fun than a vacation, whether you want to explore the amazing beauty of the Texas Hill Country or discover the perfect gift in a Main Street boutique.

The “Magic Mile” is a stretch of boutique boutiques that wonderfully embodies Fredericksburg’s distinctive style–quintessentially Texan with a tinge of European flair–in the heart of town.

Listening to Country Hits in Luckenbach, Texas is another reason to visit the area. This small town, approximately 13 miles outside of Fredericksburg, has a population of three people and just two structures left standing–a post office/saloon/general store and a dance hall–but it is the birthplace of country music.

Luckenbach, Texas, the music venue, was founded in the mid-1800s by one of the earliest German settlers in this section of Texas, and it shot to national prominence over a century later when country artists Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson released a song called Luckenbach, Texas. Luckenbach resurfaced on the country music scene in the 1990s, exploring and popularizing new genre niches. Almost every evening, the town has live music events, and visitors are urged to join in the enjoyment.

Available for rent at AirBnb.
