The Aravis mountains are located between Annecy and Megeve and form a large backbone with summits reaching 2,750 meters above sea level. You could go hiking on the Beauregard plateau throughout your holiday. The Beauregard plateau offers a panoramic view of Manigod, the young Fier valley, Parmelan, Mont Lachat, and the entire Aravis range. Mont Charvin, at a height of 2,409 meters, stands straight ahead. Its ascent is a well-known racing objective. You’ll pass through peaty meadows and rhododendron moors on your hike, with the Aravis range unfolding like a cut-out paper frieze. The glacial lake of Confins, at 1,450 meters, is located at the foot of the Aravis combes and may be reached from the village-resort of La Clusaz. The Confins valley, located 5 kilometers from the village of La Clusa’s last chalets, has everything you’d expect from the Alps, including a small emerald lake, a chapel topped with tavaillons, old chalets dotted on the green carpet of the mountain pastures, and the melody of the bells of the abundant cows. This area is strongly dominated by the steep stony cliffs and steep peaks of Trou de la Mouche, Mont Charvet, and Pointe Percée.
