This house may easily be mistaken for another hill! The transition from the natural surroundings to the interior of the house is nearly seamless. Large windows provide access to the wonderful outdoors from the cave-like interiors.
Nature is used in this way for more than simply aesthetic reasons. Every bush and tree in the yard acts as a natural thermostat for the house. The grass roof, in particular, shields the house from both hot and cold weather.
The interior design is simple but soothing. The organic flow of the walls and corridors, designed to look like a cave, creates a space that is both open and private at the same time.
