The Egret tiny house in Knoxville, Maryland, United States is a charming lodging option, with 1 bedroom, 1 bed, and 1 bathroom, perfectly accommodating 2 people. In this little farm house, you get a taste of what it’s like to downsize. The Egret is just one of several one-of-a-kind tiny places found at Tiny Haven, which is situated on more than 10 acres of reclaimed farmland. With the C&O Canal, the Appalachian Trail, and Maryland Heights all within a mile of the little house, this area is a hiker’s dream. Nearby wineries and breweries can be reached in a short car ride. There is a full kitchen, a bathroom, a lofted bed, a living space, a covered porch, and a private fire pit in the Egret. You’ll have everything you need to prepare delicious meals, including two portable induction hot plates, a convection toaster oven, a microwave, and a tiny toaster. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, dishes, cutlery, a coffee maker, a pour-over coffee maker, and a toaster.
A queen-sized memory foam bed and an awning window provide plenty of natural light and ventilation in the tiny house’s lofted bedroom. In order to control the air flow, a remote-controlled fan is provided. Relax on the loveseat in the living room while watching TV. There are tray tables inside, and on warm days, the covered porch can be used as additional dining space. Bathrooms with hot showers and clean towels are available for use after a day of hiking. An easy-to-operate composting toilet that uses gravity to separate urine from solids. Either a mini-split system for heat or air conditioning can be used throughout the Egret. The little house even has a fan! Slippers are a must have in the winter months in any home on wheels or RV since the flooring can get chilly.
Covered porches and metal fire pits make for cozy outside spaces at this micro home (please bring your firewood). Prepare a delicious supper on the massive propane grill. Here, you and your loved ones can relax and re-establish your connections with nature and one other in a peaceful setting. Unfortunately, there is no W-iFi available, and cell phone reception is spotty at best. It’s possible that you might not have any data or a reliable hotspot, but you should still be able to make and receive calls. If you need access to the web for your remote job, you should look elsewhere. The entire micro-home is all yours. These accommodations are shared with other tiny dwellings and visitors. In spite of the relative calm, distant sounds of conversation or music may occasionally be discernible.
Hiking, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and the Potomac River are all within a short drive of Tiny Haven. Firewood, a lighter or matches, a cap, sunglasses, insect spray, sunscreen, a pair of slippers for the colder months, a frying pan, some spices, some coffee, and tea are all good things to have on hand. The Maryland Heights hiking trail is located within one mile from the tiny house.
