Beautiful 100 Year Old Cabin In North Carolina

  • by

You’ll adore this rental log cabin near Gerton, North Carolina, in the United States. The cottage has two bedrooms, three beds, and one bathroom, so it can house up to six people. The quaint log cabin, which has recently been refurbished, is surrounded by the Florence preserve. This historic cabin, which is 100 years old, bears Glenna Florence’s name because she contributed the 600 acres that make up the Florence Preserve. You may access a Preserve trail just outside your front door while on vacation, or you can unwind in front of the fireplace. The recently refurbished cabin in the woods offers one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and two bedrooms with loft space. Asheville is only 20 minutes away.

Come unwind in this ancient log cottage that has just undergone renovation. Two bedrooms, an upstairs loft, and one bathroom make up the cozy apartment. There is a brand-new terrace and hot tub that are directly over a creek, allowing you to listen to the water flowing while lounging beneath the stars. There are two picnic tables outdoors for meals, a fire pit outside with benches, and outdoor lighting on the stairs and path. The mattresses have brand-new cotton linens with a high thread count. The Florence Preserve’s trail network is accessible without leaving the site. With both indoor and outdoor rooms, the cottage provides plenty of privacy so you can unwind and enjoy your stay in the mountains. With an extra pet fee, dogs are welcome.

You are welcome to use the deck, hot tub, fire pit with seating, and the complete log cabin and outdoor area. The hot water in the shower has been noted to occasionally fluctuate. There is a daybed in the loft, which has a ladder. Most adults struggle to stand up straight in the loft because of the high ceiling, but it is warm and comforting up there. During your holiday, coffee and filters will be available to you. There are little heaters in each bedroom if you start to get chilly, but you can alternatively leave the door open to let air flow in and out. The pathway outside is lit at night so that you can see outside. To enter the Florence preserve immediately, there are trails right outside the rear of the log cabin. You only need to go outside and around the rear to reach a trail that runs next to a creek.

The cabin is situated in the highlands between Asheville and Lake Lure near Gerton, North Carolina. One of just two buildings remaining from the original preserve, the holiday home is located on the Florence preserve (the original owners donated the 600 acres to the preserve). The 600-acre Florence Preserve is a nature reserve with lush woodland, waterfalls, views, and more than five miles of hiking trails. Other trailheads, such as those for Bearwallow Mountain, the Trombatore Trail, Wild Cat Rock, and others, can be found in the small town of Gerton, North Carolina. Rumbling Bald State Park, Lake Lure, and Chimney Rock State Park are all close by. Mountain biking, fly fishing, kayaking, and rafting are some nearby activities.

Available for rent at AirBnb.
